Retained deciduous teeth extraction and immediate implant placement
In general more than 70% of people avoid smiling when photos being clicked. People are extremely cautious about their appearance. A good smile improve confidence of an individual and boost immunity by relaxing your whole body.
This case report is about An young 25 years old male patient from Vellore..He complains of unaesthetic smile and wants to correct it. Patient is visiting dental clinic for first time since he has fear for injections, He has not visited dental clinic from his childhood..

Clinical examination
On clinical examination it was looking like retained deciduous teeth present in relation to 12,13,22 and 23 region.
Radiographic examination
OPG shows retained deciduous tooth in relation to 12,13,22,23 region.. Sufficient bone height and width was present in relation to 12,13,22 and 23 region for placing basal implants..
Treatment plan
After complete clinical and radio graphic examination we advised patient to extract retained deciduous tooth’s and replace with 4 basal implants under local anesthesia.. patient was willing for treatment but his main concern was painless treatment.
Day-1
- prophylactic medications given
- Local anesthesia given using STA
- Extraction of retained deciduous teeth done..
- Basal implant placed in extraction socket. 2 implants in 12,13 region and 2 implants in 22 and 23 region.
- Scanning done for PMMA crown using digital scanner

Day-2
- pmma crown fixed in relation to 12,13,22,23 region
- Advised patient to come after 4-6 months of healing period for permanent zirconia crown
