Patient from Srilanka aged 52 years came to Best Laser Dental Clinic And Implant Centre , Chennai with a complaint of multiple missing teeth .. His main concern was unable to chew food and lack of confidence .

Medical History – Diabetic and Hypertensive ..Taking regular medications and is under control .

Treatment Plan :

Opg and Cbct was taken ..  All the teeth were decayed and periodontally compromised .  The bone height and width was sufficient .

Considering the patient needs , we suggested the following treatment plan :

Upper jaw – Total extraction of teeth and Immediate Replacement with Multi unit Basal Implants ( ihde Implants from Swiss )

Lower Jaw –  Total extraction of teeth and Immediate Replacement with Multi unit Basal Implants ( ihde Implants from Swiss )

Initially provisional teeth – Hybrid Bridge also called as Metal Acrylic Bridge will be fixed within 4 days and permanent ceramic bridge will be fixed after one year .

Treatment Done :

Premedication is given prior to the surgery .

Upper and lower jaw anesthetised with painless computerised local Anesthesia .

Extraction done and curettage done . . Alveoloplasty is done to remove the week bone and to level the bone .

8 Multi unit basal implants placed in upper jaw and 6 multi unit Basal implants placed in lower jaw . . Suturing done .

From Day 2 Onwards the lab procedures are done and measurements taken for the Provisional Bridge .

Wax Trial is seen on the fourth day .. The teeth is arranged in wax and the outcome is shown to the patient . Shade of the teeth , shape and alignment of the teeth was shown to the patient .

If any corrections , it will be done and once finalised , the wax trial is sent for Processing .

Hybrid Bridge ( Metal Acrylic Bridge) is fixed on the 5th day  …

Patient can start chewing food immediately and is advisable to start with soft foods initially and gradually increase the chewing ..
